beskrivelse:
The photo is taken from the outermost tip of Aker (Harbor) Brygge. Aker Brygge always have and still is the main shopping district of the City of Oslo. Bjørvika, situated on the southeast side of the city is expected by some to become the new main shopping district in the city after the new district is expected finished in 2020. The two districts are both expanding rapidly. Tjuvholmen, an artificial island with apartments and the new Astrup Fearnley museum is one of the great projects of importance in Aker Brygge.

Aker Brygge is known for it's seafood, numerous restaurants, shops and so on. The district is considered among some of the citizens to be a place where only some people can afford to live.

The harbor is situated close to the City Hall and even closer to the Nobel Peace Prize Center and the upcoming, new National Museum north of the Center.
