USAAF pilots of the 309th Fighter Squadron, 31st Fighter Group, running to their Supermarine Spitfire Mk VB planes in Great Britain in 1942. The Spitfire "WZ-A" was the personal aircraft of Major Harrison Reed Thyng, later a brigadier general in the USAF.
